The Wealth I Carry:
I carry a wallet with me every day. Inside are credit cards and a mixture of fives, tens, and twenties. I don’t know exactly how much is in there, how long it’s been that amount, or when I last used any of it.
What I do know is this — I have long carried the feeling that I want for nothing.
I’m grateful for what I’ve been able to gather over time.
If I’m honest, though, there is one thing I would like to have in endless supply. Not money. Not possessions.
I would like sufficient and never-ending gratitude for the blessings bestowed on me throughout my life.
The wallet reminds me I have enough.
The real wealth is remembering to be grateful and carrying it with me every day.
