It’s no secret that my hearing is shot to hell lately.. with the help of hearing aids I can get most of what people are saying but I’m sure a lot goes by that I miss. I’ve often heard that when someone losses one of their five senses the others sharpen…some report to almost to superpower level..

There is evidence that people missing one sense don’t just learn to use the others better but their brain adapts to the loss by giving itself a makeover. If one sense is lost, the areas of the brain normally devoted to handling that sensory information do not go unused — they get rewired and put to work processing other senses.

I think my brain has gotten to work rewiring itself to create a new sense..
A sense of TRUTH…..

It happened so gradually that I almost didn’t know it was taking place….But then I recognized what was happening and it has been amazing… Its like seeing perfectly in the dark..

Here are some truths my new superpowers have sense for me:

• I see that things of the most value in truth cost the least…
  a hug, a kiss, a kind word
• I see my broad mind and slim waist are there and in truth …  
  they have switched places.
• I see remembering my age is not a problem..
  But in truth … remembering to act it has been difficult ..
• I see that going to bed early, only having one beer before calling it a night and staying in on the weekends were once considered a punishment… But in truth they have become goals…
• And,  I see that no matter what Jack Nicholson says..  
  I CAN handle the TRUTH !
