Being lucky is believing you are….

Growing up I was always superstitious about luck and purposely didn’t play the number, the lottery or bet the horses.  I think it’s because I sensed that luck came in small quantities and wanted to save it for things more meaningful to me than money.  

The Corona Virus is one of those things…. I’m struck by its magnitude …. And I worry for my family, friends and neighbors all of which I’d gladly share my stores of luck.  

A friend of mine once told me.. “Do right, do right, do right and all good things will happen”… 

When you make bad decisions you create bad luck… practicing social distancing is a good decision… 

In the words of Dirty Harry …. “Covid 19, the most powerful virus in the world, it would kill you and maybe your family too, ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk?”

Social distancing is about due diligence…”Due diligence” is a term to describe when one has exercised an appropriate level of caution prior to acting or making a decision…..the decision to stay safe and keep others safe… that produces luck. 

If we are safe and well… we are the lucky ones… keep others from leaving too young…
